Let’s Talk About…
Free community workshop on making life and end-of-life decisions
Knowledge is power
One way to build a Compassionate Community is through community information and engagement workshops. Through rich information sharing and community connection, these workshops provide you with the opportunity to learn, discuss, reflect and ask questions, and are being offered during the months of April – early July 2024.
What is the Let’s Talk About… Workshop Series?
These free workshops cover 8 different topics that are important when making life and end-of-life decisions. And include an information component, and the opportunity to reflect and share some of your own experiences related to each topic.
What are the 8 different topics?
- What do we mean by palliative care? (It’s more than end of life)
- Advance care planning and end-of-life legal considerations (estates and Wills)
- Navigating services (that can assist you, or someone you are supporting with a life-limiting illness)
- Important conversations – values, wishes, who & what matters most
- Grief and loss – anticipatory and bereavement
- Ordinary dying and what to do after a person dies
- Legacy, rituals and ceremony
- Self-care. What about me?
