What is Multi-Factor Authorisation?
An extra security measure you can set up to on eligible accounts is Multi Factor Authorisation (MFA). MFA requires two proofs of identification to log in or access an account.
In some cases, you might receive a text message or email for an additional code. You might be required to use an authenticator app, a physical token or fingerprint.
A couple of accounts that you can apply Multi Factor Authorisation include Centrelink, Gmail, Microsoft and Facebook. Some banks or telecommunications companies will allow you to set additional passwords or codes in order to confirm your identification.
Like with all personal information, it is important to protect this information and we encourage you not to share these details with anyone.
