Assistance for Victims of Rainfall and Flood

Unfortunately, South East Queensland has experienced a significant amount of rainfall and flooding this past week.

The Queensland Government has activated Personal Hardship financial assistance for those who have been affected – eligibility criteria applies.  For more information, see the Queensland Government website here.

The Australian Government also has Natural Disaster payments available for affected – eligibility criteria applies.  For more information, see the Services Australia website here.

Red Cross have also released grants as well as Commonwealth Bank.

If you require practical supports, community centres often have ability to provide shower and laundry facilities; food and clothing donations; and may be able to assist with emergency relief.  Alternatively, you can contact the Seniors Enquiry Line to be linked in with services in your area.
