Youth Service – Gold Coast
Gold Coast Youth Service responds to the needs of young people aged 12 to 25 years who are marginalised, at risk of homelessness or currently experiencing homelessness. This group may include families of these young people as well as care providers. The service provides support in the following areas: * Direct service delivery and assistance * Personal and practical support * Advocacy and networking * Individual and family counselling by appointment * Externally supported accommodation up to 12 months (16 – 21 years) * Life skills programs * Community development work * Family based accommodation for young people in care of the Department of Child Safety, Queensland * Outreach support * Financial Assistance Intake hours are Monday to Friday 9.30am to 12.30pm, during which time young people are assured that a youth worker will be available to provide assistance across a wide range of issues. Referrals for our externally supported accommodation are to the housing workers and require young people to participate in an assessment process.
