The NRS is an Australia-wide phone service for people who are deaf or have difficulty hearing or speaking on a regular telephone. The service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. There is no additional cost to use the service as it is a Federal Government initiative, funded by a levy on the telephone providers. There is free training and support available.
