Every second year, up to 8,000 music lovers converge on the magnificent grounds of heritage-listed Jimbour House to experience the divine sounds of operatic voices and orchestral musicians from the comfort of their chair or picnic blanket on the grass. Wander through the colourful array of market stalls exhibiting local arts and produce for sale as you soak up the warm winter sunshine before the captivating performances begin. Franz Lehár’s bubbly operetta The Merry Widow features Emily Burke in the title role, and David Hobson as Count Danilo. Performance starts 2pm. Approximately 2 hours with one 20 minute interval.
