Saturday 28 JULY – THE FUN STARTS EARLY IN CRESCENT STREET
Festivities kick off on Saturday from 2pm in the Crescent Street Precinct with Stage One going until late. There will be a number of stallholders and food vendors in the area. More relaxed than Sunday, Saturday is the perfect day to take in multicultural music, sample the food and markets on offer with an option to party until late. Don’t miss the fun-filled Arts in the Parks commencing in Millennium Park at 9am.
Sunday 29 July – FESTIVAL DAY
The Childers Festival is an event so good it stops the Bruce Highway! On Sunday, 29 July, over 400 food and market stalls will line the historic Childers streets from 9am to 3.30pm. Cuisine from all parts of the world will be complemented by an amazing array of market stalls. A diverse range of music and entertainment will overflow from five stages, including soul-ska, Fiesta music from Brazil, the playful vibes of Cuba, African fusion, traditional jazz and dancing from India and Asia. And the kid’s don’t miss out with both stage and roving entertainers performing on the day, which adds to the varied and jam-packed entertainment program. Best of all, it’s all free to attend!
