This is a much loved annual event and highlight for the Brisbane Festival when the river comes alive with colour and music. The night sky is our final canvas for the ultimate fireworks display, wrapping up Brisbane Festival with a bang. Crowds can tune in to Triple M’s live broadcast or Channel Nine’s exclusive television coverage from 6:30pm.
To celebrate, with more than 20 minutes of fireworks, we’ll chart the musical memories of the last 20 years, from 1998 right up to the present. Spectators will also be wowed by aerobatics from the Australian Defence Force with RAAF Super Hornet and Army helicopter displays late in the afternoon and evening, subject to availability. Cost: free.
